I love my Android based Google Nexus One. I cant say enought good stuff about about it and even with all the newer Android phones that have been released I have no desire to upgrade (well at least yet).

With that said I have been thinking about Rooting my Nexus One but have always not done so due to the complex process it took to root the phone. Well with the one click root app it makes it easy and simple. Simply install the application and press the root button and your on your way to enjoying your rooted phone.

One thing to note is this application also allows you to intall custom roms like the popular cryogen mod. The application supports the following phones besides the Nexus One:

Google Nexus One (2.2)
HTC Hero (2.1)
HTC Magic (1.5)
Dell Streak (2.1)
Motorola Milestone (2.1)
Motorola XT701
Motorola XT800 (2.1)
Motorola ME511
Sony Ericsson X10 (1.6)
Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro (1.6)
Acer Liquid (2.1)
Vibo A688 (1.6)

For more info on the app check out XDA-Developers or go to the blog and start downloading the application

Today while going through my usual array of websites well having my morning soda (yea I drink a Coke or Pepsi in the morning for my shot of caffeine instead of coffee) I came across a photo y Pixeleye. With a few strokes of the keys in Google’s search engine I found my self on Dirk Behlau’s website.

Dirk Behlau (aka Pixeleye) is a photographer / designer that was born in 1971 out of Germany. He is well know for shooting classic American rods as well as pin up girls and anyone with a bit of attitude. You can check out his Portfolio by clicking HERE or his photo database by clicking HERE

I personally find is work inspiring as I love shooting cars and have always loved the Classics since I was a kid. Im hoping with my Father’s new purchase of a 1932 Ford Roadster I can get some practice of my own.

I came across this site while looking for for photos for my Hot August Night post. The site pulls high end popular photos off Flickr.com and displays them for easy viewing. Although that kind of cool in its self, its not my reason for making this post. The best feature of the site is their Lens Explorer. The Lense explorer section of the site allows you to go through lists of lenses and see photos shot with those lenses. For example I found the shot above by looking at the Canon EF 70-200mm F/2.8L IS USM section.

To check it out simply GO HERE

Im not a big “gamer” but ever since I found the Call of Duty series of games, I have found them as a great stress reliever. Often after hard days at the office Ill get online and shoot some fools in the face.

Well I have often tried other multiplayer military type games but found the the controls annoying on PS3 and often find the game play slow compared to COD. I hope EA gives you to the options to set up your controller how ever you like. Here is to hoping the medal of honor series is the one that ends up beating Call of Duty in my book.

This show has a special place in my heart as its the perfect mix of family fun, awesome cars, and love of everything American. I’ll make sure to take lots of photos and post them up when I get back.

Although a lot of individuals seem to find Glenn Beck crazy, I have found a lot of great knowledge under all the crazy emotional acting that he portrays on television. His book “Common Sense” was a great short read and I found my self agreeing with him on most parts (to me it was very similar in manner to that of Dr. Ron Paul’s “The Revolution Manifesto”).

The Overton Window is a fiction book based on factual information. So far I’m only a few chapters deep and I have already seen references to things I have seen or heard about in the news. Its been a great break from straight up political books as its not as dry and this helps the reading roll along.

I’ll follow up the post once I complete the reading.

Back in June my office caught on fire. In the office was 95% of my camera gear as well as various other personal items. Everything in the office was destroyed as the fire was massive and it resulted in the entire office building and all of its contents being destroyed.

As a result I contacted my home owners insurance and they covered a handful of the items I had in the facility, of which was my camera gear. After a bit of arguing I got a check in the mail and was able to purchase new gear. Instead of replacing all of it with the same stuff, I bought less items but stepped up the quality resulting in the Canon 5D Mark II with kit L lens, battery grip, EF 50mm 1.4 (aka the Nifty Fifty), and two UV filters.

I seriously can not wait to get out and go shooting with the new camera. So far its been a little bit of a learning curve as it operates quite differently then my consumer Rebel XT that I have had over the years.

For those of you on PS3 like my self we got the release of the 2nd map pack for Call of Duty Modern Warefare 2. This new map pack called the ” Resurgence Pack” is the follow up to the “Stimulus Pack”. Like the stimulus pack this new map pack features 5 maps for $15 of which 2 are ported over from COD MW, and the other 3 are all new:

Carnival,” a large abandoned theme park that offers lots of unique vantage points that work well for all game modes. The once vibrant rides now sit idle and neglected as perfect cover points in one of the most original multiplayer locations for Modern Warfare 2.

“Fuel,” a massive oil refinery with extremely long sightlines great for medium- to long-range firefights. The spacious surroundings offer a great sniper advantage; offices, warehouses, and buildings house objectives and provide opportunity for close-range firefights.

“Trailer Park,” a medium-sized mobile estate with a maze of tight flank routes and lots of cover. Junk covered yards, deserted trailers, and debris-riddled surroundings offer intense firefights with a wide variety of vantage points and routes available.

“Strike,” a large urban desert town, excellent for medium-to-large team games. The large monument, connecting streets, and surrounding buildings offer great firefights in Team Deathmatch, and great vantage points for objective team games.

“Vacant,” a deserted Russian office complex offering a great mixture of interior and exterior combat. Long hallways with minimal cover points offer a fast escape route for potential runners, but high accuracy and fast aiming is required when advancing through this large complex.
